The irony (or tyranny)
I’m not sure how many of you are aware of the 16 days work it’s an annual thing and usually White Ribbon who are a group of male allies organise a big event in London and previously partnered with FIFA
Anyway the US attorney general picked this years theme for UN Women and it’s orange 🍊 I kind of think it’s genius (after all the most orange of men have and are trying to strip women’s rights)
Violence against women and girls is everywhere — in our homes, our streets, and our screens.
There’s only one way to end it: together.
Every year, from 25 November to 10 December, the world unites for 16 Days of Activism — a global movement led by the UN Secretary-General to end violence against women and girls.
This year’s theme: UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls.
It’s perfect timing and will be the follow up to my censorsHERship piece part 1 (I feel there will be more)
