Terms and Conditions
Purpose of the bursary
The Seventh Tribe Bursary exists to ensure that financial hardship does not exclude women from participation, connection, or support. It is offered in the spirit of solidarity, not charity.
Availability
Bursary places are limited and subject to availability.
The bursary is offered for an initial period of three months and may be renewed on a rolling three-month basis.
Eligibility
The bursary is available to women who are experiencing financial difficulty or instability.
There is no formal application process. To request a bursary, applicants are simply asked to let us know their situation in their own words.
No proof, documentation, or justification is required.
Confidentiality
Bursary holders are never identified publicly.
All information shared is treated as confidential and is used only for the purpose of administering the bursary.
What the bursary includes
During the bursary period, holders receive:
– free membership to Seventh Tribe
– free entry to all Seventh Tribe events
– access to additional bursary-only or support-focused events where available
These additional events are designed to offer practical, emotional, and collective support to help bursary holders stabilise and move forward at their own pace.
Renewal
Bursaries are reviewed every three months.
Renewal is not automatic but is intended to be straightforward. Bursary holders may request renewal by briefly updating us on their situation.
There is no expectation that circumstances will have “improved” in order for a bursary to be renewed.
Boundaries
Bursary access is provided for personal participation only and may not be transferred, resold, or used for commercial or organisational purposes.
Seventh Tribe reserves the right to limit or withdraw bursary access if it is being misused or if capacity constraints require it, though this will be done with care and communication.
Ethos
The bursary operates on trust. It is part of a wider mutual-aid model supported by Sister-Help-Sister and Patron contributions.
No woman is expected to explain herself, perform gratitude, or disclose more than she chooses.
