WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR GAZA?
OK. so we really did plan to take the machines on an amble through history to build a timeline that exposes built-in bias. But yesterday Naomi Klein forced us to jump straight to the end. She shared and amplified a Drop Site News investigation that exposes bias being deliberately baked in for political purposes.
On 29 July 2026, investigative outlet Drop Site News published a report revealing that the Israeli government paid former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale and his firm Clock Tower X $46.5 million to build a network of at least ten websites—including Allyvia.org, FactSignal.org, and Paxpoint.org—designed to influence AI chatbots including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. The campaign produced hundreds of articles promoting Israeli narratives, defending Israel's military campaign in Gaza, and challenging allegations against its conduct, with the explicit goal of "LLM poisoning"—shaping how AI systems respond to queries. Although the websites attract minimal human traffic, they have been archived hundreds of times by Common Crawl—the nonprofit repository that supplies roughly 80% of the training data for models like GPT-3—and Drop Site testing found that Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot have already cited Clock Tower X websites in their answers without flagging their origin. Each site carries a mandatory FARA disclosure stating the material is distributed on behalf of the State of Israel.
Regardless of your views on the situation in Gaza, it's time to put your Sarah Connor hat on and start asking the hard questions...
